SRL Webbing
Sturges weaves SRL webbing from aramids and para-aramids along with UHMWPE (Ultra-High-Molecular-Weight Polyethylene), that is high-strength, lightweight, abrasion resistant and not bulky, making it ideal for many mini SRL applications.
We offer custom designs for specific performance and environmental needs, as well as different colors for brand recognition with high color retention. Custom widths are also available, to ensure the SRL webbing fits in its housing, and different thicknesses are an option to allow for longer lifelines. Our abrasion cycle testing process ensures maximum longevity of the webbing inside the SRL unit.
Treatments can be applied to protect from UV damage, abrasion, color fading, and twisting.

What are the advantages of using webbing over steel cable for Leading-Edge SRLs?
With the latest development in performance webbing, Sturges Manufacturing has produced an alternative to the traditional steel cables that has been validated in our in-house testing facility. In the past, steel cable was one of the only safe options for Leading-Edge SRLs. Now that we have developed webbings that meet the ASSP/ASNSI Z359.14 standard, that is no longer the case. Instead of using heavy steel cables, lightweight webbings can be used to protect workers working at heights. In addition to keeping workers safe from a fall, lightweight webbing also helps prevent the workers from getting fatigued by not carrying heavy steel cables all day.
